Rules & Info
Feral Grounds has 21 server rules. Read them before you play.
1. No Third-Partying
COMBATDo not third-party active fights. Once combat has commenced between two groups, outside players and packs may not intervene, flank, or attack either party until the combat has fully concluded and bodies have been resolved.
2. Safe Distance from Fights (~5 Rex Lengths)
COMBATMaintain a safe spectator distance from active battles — approximately 5 Rex lengths depending on F2 intentions. Approaching closer without hostile intent causes combat confusion and is treated as a third-party violation.
3. No Overpacking & Roster Limits
PACKSStrict adherence to pack limits: Section 1 same-species caps and Section 2 mix-pack 32-point maximum. Overflow players lingering with or assisting a pack as an un-grouped auxiliary force is prohibited.
4. Juvenile 40% Rule & Half-Value Calculation
PACKSA full same-species pack may include juveniles up to 40% of the total group size. Juveniles are worth HALF the adult's pack value. Example: 4 adults can have up to 2 juveniles within the allowed juvenile rule (2 / 6 = 33.3% <= 40%).
5. Dietary Mix-Pack Restrictions
PACKSCarnivores may NEVER pack with Herbivores or Omnivores under any circumstance. Omnivores may ONLY mix with Herbivores. Violations result in immediate pack disbandment and warnings.
6. No Nest Griefing
BEHAVIORDestruction or harassment of nests without legitimate survival/feeding intent, or camping nesting sites to repeatedly spawn-kill hatchlings, is strictly prohibited.
7. No Team Killing
BEHAVIORDeliberately attacking or killing members of your own pack, nesting party, or species group without prior mutual agreement is strictly prohibited.
8. No Body Denying
COMBATDragging, exploiting, or disposing of carcasses into unreachable bodies of water, deep cliffs, or collision glitches to deny legitimate food to other players is strictly forbidden.
9. No Combat Logging
COMBATDisconnecting, force-closing the game client, or safe-logging while in combat, immediately following an engagement, or while being actively pursued is prohibited.
10. No Bot Commands Mid-Fight
EXPLOITSExecuting companion bot or overlay commands (such as garage swap, self-slay, or unstick) to gain an unfair positional or mechanical advantage during active combat is strictly forbidden.
11. No Parking Mid-Fight
EXPLOITSStoring or parking a dinosaur in the Garage while bleeding, engaged in combat, or being tracked is an exploit and will result in forfeiture of the dinosaur slot.
12. 5-Minute Restart Rule
SERVERNo initiating attacks or engaging in new combat after the 5-minute server restart broadcast has been posted. Disengage and find safe ground immediately upon announcement.
13. No Location Dropping
FAIR PLAYBroadcasting player coordinates, POI sightings, or spatial data in global in-game chat or public Discord channels to incite targeting is prohibited.
14. No Stream Sniping
FAIR PLAYUsing external livestreams, recordings, or observer screens to gain tactical awareness or hunt down streaming players is an immediate bannable offense.
15. Cheating & Third-Party Advantage Software
INTEGRITYAny use of cheat software, speed hacks, hitbox modifications, ESP, or third-party injectors results in a permanent server ban and SteamID hardware reporting.
16. Push-to-Talk Mandatory
VOICEPush-to-Talk (PTT) is mandatory when using in-game voice chat or active community voice channels. Open microphones causing acoustic disturbance are prohibited.
17. Discord Rules Apply to In-Game Voice
